Uganda and the rest of the other East African countries, including Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania are generally safe and welcoming countries, with no major civil unrest or rebel activity.  It is advised to stay with a guide when exploring the streets or traveling at night for added safety.
Overall, the people of Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania are hospitable and friendly and happy to
assist visitors.

Obtaining a visa to Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania or Rwanda can be done through an online application process. The official website for the application to Uganda is https://visas.immigration.go.ug/. The official site for the visa to Rwanda is https://irembo.gov.rw/user/citizen/service/dgie/request_a_visa. The official site for Kenya is https://evisa.go.ke/, while that of Tanzania is https://visa.immigration.go.tz/. If one is interested in a package that covers Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya please visit the official visa site for Uganda (stated here earlier) and select East African Tourist Visa.

After uploading the necessary documents, the visa approval should be sent to your email within 2 to 7 days.

Our group tours typically accommodate groups of 3 to 6
people. However, we have the capacity to handle larger groups if requested. By

The mandatory vaccination for travelers to Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda is against Yellow Fever. 

While we cannot guarantee that you will see gorillas on a single day’s trek, we can assure you that the chances of seeing them are high. In the rare event that you are unable to spot gorillas on your first attempt, the wildlife authority of Uganda allows you to try again the following day without having to purchase a new gorilla permit. We have not encountered a situation where a visitor has been unable to see gorillas after a single attempt. By choosing to go on a gorilla trek with us, you can have confidence in the likelihood of a successful and rewarding wildlife viewing experience.

While there is no required or set amount for tipping, it is a common and appreciated practice in the tourism industry in Uganda/Rwanda. Tipping is a way to show appreciation and gratitude for exceptional service received, and it is up to the individual traveler to decide the amount that feels appropriate to them. Keep in mind that tips can be an important source of income for service industry workers and are often greatly appreciated. Tipping is not mandatory, but it is a thoughtful and generous gesture that can go a long way in showing your appreciation for the people who make your trip memorable.

You can fill in any tour destination mentioned in your itinerary. It could be Entebbe, Murchison Falls, Kampala, Kibale, or Bwindi.

Yes, in the event you book a private tour you will travel privately. We guarantee that we will not add any other person to your vehicle. You will be in the company of your guide and driver. Should we have an intern or apprentice who is learning, we will let you know and ask you to admit them to your tour.

No, you will not get infected with Malaria for as long as you sleep under the mosquito nets that will be provided at the hotels/lodges. Further, malaria-transmitting mosquitoes are not active during day time. As a precautionary measure, you may apply some insect repellent during the day, especially when you are in the savannah parks and the forests.

Travel to Uganda and any East African country can be done any time of the year. The dry months of January February, June, July, August, September, and December are usually ideal for wildlife tours. For those who may be interested in the great migration, you should consider travel between July and September of every year.

Considering that we work with the government and other service providers, we advise that you instead consider rescheduling your travel. With such an option, you do not lose much money in cancellation fees. However, if you insist that we refund money, we will be happy to refund though subject to the refund and cancellation policies of the company, government, and the service providers. 

 Yes, you will have electricity at the lodges/hotels you will be staying in. You will also have internet while aboard our safari vehicles and at some of the lodges/hotels.

 Yes, you can book your tours using your card. We have the option to pay by Bank transfer and by online payment. With the online option, you pay with your card.
