Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari | 3 Days
This 3 days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari is designed to give you a memorable, informative and interesting experience with the mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable rain forest national park.
This trip also takes you for a visit to Igongo Cultural Center in Mbarara for a cultural expedition about the traditional Banyankole ways of life.
Day 1 — Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Start the day by travelling to Bwindi taking Kampala-Masaka route.
Along the way, there are amazing and interesting encounters that give you an insight of the cultural and traditional ways of the local communities for example a stopover at Mpambire .This is the Centre where drums are made from. These drums used to and still act as music instruments for traditional functions especially in the Buganda region.
On the Way still to Lake Mburo or the return trip to Kampala or Entebbe, stop and take in a visit to the Equator that runs through Uganda. It’s marvelous to have pictures taken underneath the Equator Sign.
Generally, people tend to carry out nonscientific experiments, most of them are manipulated illusions and not authentic, but fun to watch.
There are also Curio and Souvenir Shops that you can visit. A couple of them have their wares nicely displayed and make it easier to shop for crafts, including of course the Equator T-Shirt that is an optional buy for many visitors and others.
On arrival in Mbarara, visit Igongo Cultural village for cultural expedition about the traditional ways of Banyankole people of western Uganda.Have lunch in Mbarara and then after proceed with the safari to Bwindi for the main highlight of this safari.
Day 2 — Gorilla Trekking Safari in Bwindi
This day will begin by assembling at the briefing point for guidelines about this amazing activity. After briefing by the specialized site ranger, you head to the forest. The trekking duration is determined by the position where the gorillas spent the night and their feeding range.
Once the gorillas are found, you’re allowed to spend an hour with them. You will enjoy this memorable experience as you stand just few meters from the gorillas watching them feed; play and even watching them bond with their young ones. You will be amazed at how these creatures have so much resemblance with human beings.
After this thrilling activity, enjoy a late afternoon community walk around the environs of Bwindi.
Day 3 — Travel from Bwindi to Kampala or Entebbe
On this day, drive back to Kampala via Queen Elizabeth National Park for enroute game viewing. Some animals might be spotted such as Elephants, Antelopes and the Warthogs. Enjoy the winding scenery of the foot hills of Mt. Rwenzori and have lunch from Fort Portal. On the way to Kampala from Fort portal, enjoy the views of the different sceneries of the landscapes and diverse vegetation cover.

The price slightly increases if you decide to travel as a solo traveler. Conversely, the price payable per person reduces from the stated amount if the tour is booked by more than two people.
